my actual Acer Laptop, goes always down in his knees by converting vidz. while converting, I couldnt do anything.
whatSpecifications are important/necessary? HD = 1000gb wich speed or wich exactly one/version processor = AMD or Intel wich exactly type, wich version? Grafic Card = Nvidia or wich type, wich exactly version? 1 or 2 GB 16 GB main memory or is 8GB enough? Mainboard? wich monitor? 22"? which factory?
maximum money 600€ = around 700 US Dollar cheaper is better

| HD: 7200 rpm 1TB Seagate or Samsung make good ones.
Processor (CPU): 3+ GHZ this is the most important for videos. Intel is much more expensive, but better. AMD cheaper, but still good.
Graphics card: A nVidia Quadro is made for video editing.
RAM: 8gb is gets the job done well. 16gb is better
Motherboard: Get any regular sized motherboard and you're ok.
Monitor: ASUS makes good monitors , but this won't affect you at all.
Overall it's gonna be faster, but don't expect your videos to get shat out instantly. It still takes a while. | |

| just to add when it comes to CPU if you go with dual core look that they have quad core mask capability or something similar.this will help out with running some more advanced programs | |

| More cores allow you to do more things at once, but it's the GHz that's most important. So in the end it's not that important. Quad Core is standard nowadays. The computers that generally use lots of cores are server computers not PCs. | |

| I put the 64GB Kingston SSDNow V100 in my Acer Laptop and bought a Samsung SSD 120GB (120€) for my PC. guys, this is the blast! working with a Video Editor on the SSD is so much better and faster now! R7770 Grafic Card is sleeping, AMD 4x 4.20GHz CPU is running around with maximum 20-30%, RAM is under 2GB! and its around 30-40% faster by converting, save up electric power consumption too! its also possible now, to do lots other stuff while converting!
and at my Western Digital Hard Drive was like this: CPU always 100%, RAM around 6GB, Grafic Card ca. 60-70%!
so, if you got a SSD, no high speed CPU, not more than 4GB RAM and a 1TB Grafic Card is needed anymore. SSD is the future...
btw, I save money for this PC toy by waiver of food, sweets, alcohol + weed. now, my PC is complete, YEAH!

| yeah SSD's are nice but since they have such limited space you should have a regular harddrive as well. What my friend does is, he puts windows 7 on the SSD and transfers games that he plays often to the SSD. When he's done with that game he puts it back to the harddrive. | |

| I choose a 300 GB intern and the "2TB Western Digital" extern incl. win7, audio editor, video editor, video converter, antivir + some liitle shit, 70gig space is free on the SSD! if the important progs are on ssd, transfer while playing or converting is , imo, no differance at speed.... | |
